"Suspected Fulani herdsmen killed a pastor, his wife and three other Christians at about midnight on June 2 in Plateau state, central Nigeria, sources said
... "The raiders with heavy weaponry attacked a predominantly Christian village in Kwall District, Bassa County, killing Pastor Dauda Dalyop, 63, of the Assemblies of God Church; his wife Chummy Dauda, 57; Chwe Ajuhs, 26; Joshua Kusa, 45; and Rikwe Doro, 43, ... "“This sad incident is coming just two days after some herdsmen ambushed two other Christians, killing one of them, Mr. Irmiya Musa Timbi, while the second victim was injured,” Jugo said. The Rev. Ronku Aka, a pastor in the area, confirmed the attack in a message to Morning Star News. Fidelis Adara, a Bassa council official, corroborated the information. The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) called on the Nigerian government to investigate continued killings and bring them to an end. The Rev. Akus Odoh of ECWA, Miango District Church Council, condemned the most recent attack in strong terms called for a thorough investigation. "“Nigeria has lost its values, and the government doesn’t respect the right to life,” Odoh said..." "There’s no doubt that the Biden administration is actively threatening Americans with prison time simply for peacefully praying and contending for unborn lives at abortion mills around the country. "By the time President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, the federal government had brought fewer than 100 prosecutions since the unconstitutional Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act’s inception in 1994. "That’s fewer than four targetings a year under a law that, as Republican Rep. Chip Roy noted in a 2023 letter, “had never been used to indict individuals related to an attack on a pro-life pregnancy center or house of worship.” "In 2022 alone, however, more than two dozen pro-lifers were persecuted by the Biden-led Department of Justice with FACE Act charges. Over the last two years, that number has only grown. "The Biden DOJ formally kicked off its campaign against Christian pro-lifers when it charged Mark Houck with violating the FACE Act after he protected his son from an angry abortion activist across the street from a Planned Parenthood in 2021. The indictment carried a maximum of up to 11 years in prison with three years of supervised release and fines totaling $350,000. "In a clear attempt “to intimidate people of faith and pro-life Americans,” the Biden administration made a showy arrest of Houck at his family home in September 2022 by deploying FBI equipped with battering rams and ballistic shields. His wife and seven children, who were present during the raid, recounted that agents “had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house.” "After months of legal battles, Houck was eventually cleared by a federal jury. The dozens of other pro-lifers targeted by the Biden regime, however, were not so lucky..."
Artur Pawlowski is a hero of mine. He waged a very difficult fight to protect his church, his congregation and the people they reach out to help. Perhaps his courage comes from his family's experiences in Poland before World War II. He recognizes fascism when he sees it and immediately stands up to fight against it.
You can find more information about Pastor Pawlowski at the Street Church Website.
Meet Pastor Pawlowski Here. “Jesus was the greatest defender of freedom. We should be too. Why did Canada hate me so much? Because I represented God in a culture that is increasingly hostile towards Him. You will not see a meeting like this in Canada (looks around). The people are fearful. Let me say this. Ohio has a special spot in my heart. Over the last three years, with many dark moments, Ohio stood up for liberty when Canada forsook me. (Ohio passed a motion in June 2022, calling for Canada to be placed on a religious liberty watch list, due to their repressive Covid measures that shut down churches and places of worship.) We have lost a valuable commodity in western culture—we have forgotten courage. It is a hard to find commodity. The furnace of oppression and ungodliness is getting hotter. We need the testimony of converted Christians who stand up for truth. Are you willing to become that testimony? Lots of people say they want to see Jesus. Do you want to see Jesus? He shows up in a fire (Daniel 3:25). He shows up when we are humble (Isaiah 57:15). What was done to us in Canada was evil but look what God did for us. They meant it for evil, but God meant it for good. We stood up in the midst of great oppression. We are still standing, by the grace of God. We are unbroken (2 Corinthians 4:8). I grew up in Poland, behind the iron curtain. Poland was always under attack. We were oppressed by Hitler, we were oppressed by Soviet Russia. Remember, Hitler was legitimately elected. He enacted laws against the Jewish people, but the first victims were German people. They were indoctrinated to hate a race of people (similar to the way white people are being vilified in woke culture today). The tyrant was their own government. Today, tyrants are telling people you will own nothing and be happy. They are eating rich food, while telling people to eat bugs. Look what they are doing. If I was king, I would charge those people with treason. You will not see a meeting like this in Canada. Many people are ashamed. I was arrested 16 times. I received over 150 tickets. What was my crime? Feeding hungry. I was shocked when I was ticketed for helping poor. Pilgrims that came to America had a dream. That dream was freedom of religion and the freedom to worship God according to their conscience. Canada benefitted from that dream, we were brothers on the same continent. Are you still the land of the free and the home of the brave?"
It was reported on X that a Christian preacher had been arrested. Video was posted. I have included the link above and clipped the image below. The difficulty getting there seems to originate on Twitter's end. Persecution is in the details. You can find this post by going directly to twitter or your browser. Search for:
https://x.com/corinnecliford/status/1793021290082623637 BREAKING News: 5.21.2024 US Capitol a Christian Preacher just got arrested in front of me for talking about the Bible & handing out a Christian postcard. I have never seen anything like this. Officially the persecution of non violent Christians has started in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, I am unable to link to this tweet, but here are details nonetheless.
I was thinking about the churches that have burned in Canada just the other day. I found confirmation. The narrative regarding the cause was false. Well, it is hard to discern the truth these days. The Father of Lies is very shifty and sometimes hard to identify. This change in the narrative is an important one, for the outcome is still harmful to the church that has indeed burned. Christian persecution still amps up in the west.
The New York Post Writes:
"After two years of horror stories about the alleged mass graves of Indigenous children at residential schools across Canada, a series of recent excavations at suspected sites has turned up no human remains. Some academics and politicians say it’s further evidence that the stories are unproven. Minegoziibe Anishinabe, a group of indigenous people also known as Pine Creek First Nation, excavated 14 sites in the basement of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church near the Pine Creek Residential School in Manitoba during four weeks this summer. The so-called “anomalies” were first detected using ground-penetrating radar, but on Aug. 18, Chief Derek Nepinak of remote Pine Creek Indian Reserve said no remains were found..." This latest revelation of a hoax deals another blow to the contrived “outrage” fueling left-wing activism. These activists aren’t in search of justice or rectifying past wrongs. Instead, they’re fixated on sowing division, causing destruction, and dismantling society. They crave a convenient “excuse” that allows them to wreak havoc while the rest of us sit back, watching them burn everything to the ground.
Joshua Youssef''s weekly podcasts are so helpful. It's an informative experience to receive an email from Joshua:
Have you ever struggled to know how to pray for the persecuted church? If so—I get it. The need can be so overwhelming that it feels like you don’t even know how to begin. The Prisoners of Hope Podcast tells the stories of Christians affected by persecution—people who are, as the prophet Zechariah once wrote, “Prisoners of Hope.” We’ll share how Christianity is anything but a coping mechanism for the faint of heart. We’ll learn about people who put their lives on the line for the sake of the Gospel. We’ll discover the Holy Spirit working in the world in ways that seem ripped straight from the Bible. We hope that your faith is solidified through these stories of redemption, suffering, and a good and faithful God who will stop at nothing to expand his kingdom across the world—and in your heart, too. Together, we’ll discover how God is transforming all Christians into Prisoners of Hope.
Fulani herdsmen on Sunday night (April 28) killed at least six Christians, including children, in an attack in southeastern Nigeria, sources said.
The assailants raided predominantly Christian Ugwujoro Nimbo village, Uzo-Uwani County, in Enugu state at about 11 p.m., area residents said. Seven other Christians were injured, Chijoke Okunna said. “Seven Christians were wounded during the attack, and they suffered machete cuts,” Okunna told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News in a text message. Michael Obinna, another resident, said Fulani herdsmen were behind the attack. “The herdsmen invaded the village and opened fire on the villagers as they were sleeping in their houses,” Obinna said in a text message. “At least six Christians have been confirmed dead, including a little child.” ...
A Christian pastor was killed last week as he traveled to minister to church members in northern Kaduna state, sources said.
While Fulani herdsmen and other terrorists have been active in southern Kaduna state, the Rev. Manasseh Ibrahim was shot to death by “bandits” who ambushed him in a northern part of the state along the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna Highway on Tuesday (April 23), according to the Birnin Gwari chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). ...
Churches around the world are set afire and burned to the ground with alarming regularity, and not just in those countries where believers suffer the most heinous persecution for their faith. Here are listed an historical report regarding churches in Canada that are being burned to the ground and another that is recent. I wonder how many of these reports may not be what we think?
... After the graves were discovered, churches began to burn. On June 21 (National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada), an officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police was patrolling near Penticton Indian Band land at 1:22 AM when he spotted flames coming from the Sacred Heart Church. Two hours later, police received a call about another fire at St. Gregory’s Church on Osoyoos Indian Band land, roughly 25 miles from Sacred Heart. Both churches were burned to the ground. Investigators described the fires as “suspicious.” ...
... The Bridgetown Baptist Church is located along Highway 1, which is the main street in the community, and dates back to the 1890s, according to the church's website.
Emergency crews were called shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday after a report of black smoke coming from the building, said Staff Sgt. Mike Maxwell with the Annapolis District RCMP. Randy Sheridan, chief of the Bridgetown Volunteer Fire Department, said the flames engulfed the building and were "pretty well out" by 11 a.m. "It'll be a total loss," he said. ... ... The situation is hardly unique, nor is it confined to the United Methodist Church, a denomination that has undergone a recent split over the issue of LGBTQ+ inclusiveness. Just 16% of Americans say religion is the most important thing in their life, according to a new report released this week by the Public Religion Research Institute. A 2020 survey found that the average congregation size across Christian denominations is less than half what it was in 2000 — down to 65 from 137. It also found that on average, a third of churchgoers are 65 or older, twice that age group's representation in the general population. These numbers held true for Protestants, Evangelicals and Catholics alike. Only congregations of other faith traditions — including Islam, Baha'i and Judaism — are seeing increases, the survey said. The sharp uptick in the number of younger Americans with no religious affiliation — a group known as the "nones" — is the major driver in a seismic shift in the religious landscape, says Ryan Burge, a political science professor at Eastern Illinois University and author of The Nones: Where They Came From, Who They Are, and Where They Are Going... |
