When people study the apostle Paul’s life, they normally focus on his conversion on the Damascus road and then his missionary journeys. In the message “Surprising Ingredients for Greatness,” Skip looks at the most overlooked period of Paul’s life.
Biblica Spurs Spiritual Revival in Scotland by Reagan Hoezee Mission Network News The United Kingdom is home to thousands of grandiose church buildings and people well-versed in the language of Christian theology.
But, sadly, spiritual history does not always equal spiritual vibrancy. “If we look at the state church in Scotland (the Presbyterian Church) and England (the Anglican Church), often we can see sort of the dead husk of a once-vibrant church, if we look at general statistics of church attendance and various other things,” says Carl Moeller with Biblica. “Frankly, it can make anybody who cares about the areas of Scotland and England quite depressed, because there’s very few people who acknowledge church attendance on a high scale.” But while it may seem that these nations have abandoned their spiritual fervor of the past, things are starting to shift. According to Moeller, throughout the past few years, “There is a movement of God within these churches and in places that we would, maybe a decade or two ago, have thought were beyond revival, where we’re seeing God’s spirit move and people are actually turning to faith...” ...When exposed to sound emitted via the intravaginal device, 87 per cent of foetuses reacted with head and limb movements.
The babypod device was inserted into the vagina, to allow the unborn babies to listen to the music And they were accompanied by specific mouth and tongue movements, which stopped when the music stopped. Furthermore, 50 per cent of the foetuses reacted with a striking movement, opening their jaw very wide and sticking their tongue out as far as it would go. In comparison, when a set of headphones were placed over a pregnant woman's bump, and the music was played through the abdomen, researchers observed no changes in foetal facial expression. The researchers noted: 'Foetal response begins at 16 weeks, with statistically significant variations throughout the pregnancy. 'The further on the mother is in the pregnancy, the more striking the facial movements. 'Response is different for each foetus, with different response levels each time the music is played.' They noted that twins showed similar behaviour. They added: 'We are aware of and recognise the importance of talking to babies from the moment they are born to promote neurological stimulation. 'Now we have the amazing opportunity to do this much sooner, which is a huge advance.' The study was published in the journal Ultrasound. “Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy,
Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he longs.” The words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times. You, O Lord, will keep them; You will preserve him from this generation forever. Psalm 12:5-7

I am sorry, the original files are no longer available; however, you can access a bible audio narration of the Book of Psalms here:
This world has its own prince--his name is Satan--its own philosophy, its own purpose, and its own people. Find out who are the "children of this world" and how not to find yourself so entangled with them you cannot escape. And his master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light.
Luke 16:8 ...Praying for family, friends and others who don’t know Christ is a great beginning. If you want to do more, look for opportunities to demonstrate the effect that Jesus has had on your life by your actions toward others.
This doesn’t take any special language skill. It just takes the willingness to let the love of the Lord shine through you into the lives of those around you. They will see this, and eventually ask you about it. That’s when you’ll have your chance to tell them about Him. Remember, actions speak louder than words. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; Matthew 5:14 Prison Mentoring Group Works to Keep Ex-Offenders out of Jail by Shardaa Gray KSN News A mentoring program geared toward keeping people out of jail is pairing ex-offenders with current inmates.
The group is called “Working Men of Christ Ministries”, and on Sunday 21 of them headed to the El Dorado Correctional to mentor prisoners there. One ex-convict told KSN before he left, it will be tough walking into that prison because that’s where he did his time for his past mistakes. He said it’s some place he never planned to visit again until he had the opportunity to become an inspiration. “There have been moments where I’ve been frightened,” said Shannon West. “There’s been moments where I was a little scared.” West said, while it will be tough walking back into a place he once called home, through his faith he’s able to put his fears aside and give hope to those incarcerated. “I know that my story and my testimony, as well as all these other men’s story and testimony’s, are going to change lives tonight.” Working Men of Christ teamed up for the first time with Mentoring 4 Success, a program developed by the Kansas Department of Corrections that helps offenders safely and successfully return to communities... Objects of Divine Satisfaction by Alistair Begg, Truth for Life One Place to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:6 ...Rejoice then, believer, in this: You are blessed "in the Beloved." You look within, and you say, "There is nothing acceptable here!" But look at Christ, and see if everything is not acceptable there. Your sins trouble you; but God has cast your sins behind His back, and you are accepted and blessed in the Righteous One. You have to fight with corruption and wrestle with temptation, but you are already accepted in Him who has overcome the powers of evil. The devil tempts you, but be of good cheer-he cannot destroy you, for you are accepted in Him who has broken Satan's head... |
